The IRS announced it will open its Affordable Care Act Information Returns (AIR) operation beginning January 15, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. Eastern time.
This operational date applies to tax years 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Although Form 1094-C cannot be submitted until 1/15/2020, 1095-C forms for 2019 can still be generated by PSST to print and mail directly to employees.
